Welcome to the world of Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power, a vibrant blend of musical comedy, puppetry, and laughter, created to captivate and inspire young minds.
Here, you’ll get a peek behind the scenes to learn about the mission, history, and principles that make Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power a beloved and trusted choice for families and educators.
Our mission is simple…
To spread joy and laughter to young children and their carers through music and comedy.
“We believe that every child deserves to laugh, learn, and grow in a space that is inclusive, engaging, and downright silly.”
Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power is the creative vision of Chris Falcon Hill, a seasoned children’s entertainer with a rich history in theatre and family entertainment.
Chris grew up immersed in the arts, with his mother, actor Betty Bobbitt (Judy Bryant from Prisoner), and his father, renowned bird painter Robin Hill, fostering his early creativity.
A family deeply rooted in the creative world.
But beyond the family spotlight, Chris is a one-man powerhouse.
From scriptwriting, songwriting, and puppet building to web design, video editing, and branding, every part of Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power is lovingly crafted by Chris himself. It’s a labour of love driven by passion, experience, and a genuine desire to create unforgettable experiences for children and their families.
Chris began his career in children’s entertainment in 2003, working as a party entertainer, donning costumes as characters like Batman and Spiderman.
This hands-on start taught him the art of engaging small audiences and holding their attention—skills that would later shape his unique approach to larger performances.
As a co-founder of The Kazoos, Chris toured extensively, performing in some of Australia’s most prestigious Performing Arts Centres, including the Whitehorse Centre, Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, and the Singapore Drama Centre.
His shows have been highlights at major festivals like Moomba Waterfest, St Kilda Fest, and the Singapore Children’s Festival, earning acclaim for their professionalism, humour, and family-friendly appeal.
Now, with Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power, Chris carries forward this legacy, combining his expertise with a fresh, quirky twist.
Our shows are designed primarily for pre-school and early primary-aged children.
However, we can adapt performances for entire primary school age groups, ensuring the fun and learning resonate with every audience.
Dr Pockets & The Puppet Power is built on strong, family-friendly values.
We believe in delivering content that is wholesome, quirky, and hilarious while maintaining the highest standards of inclusivity and respect.
